PIMELIA - Sustainable Jewellery Range
For my final sustainable jewellery collection, I explored two series that combined original design with environmentally conscious materials. The Bouquet range was inspired by floral forms and hand painted with a neon edge, while Vintage Soul saw me return to sugarcane-based sprays and incorporate vintage beads and earring posts, reconnecting the work with reclaimed materials. Each range featured six designs in a limited edition run, continuing my focus on careful, sustainable craftsmanship.

PIMELIA - Sustainable Jewellery Range
This laser-cut jewellery collection continued my exploration of designed components, while shifting toward a more labour-intensive, hand-crafted finish. Each piece was hand painted with intricate patterns rather than spray painted, drawing inspiration from two of my favourite artists: Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Frida Kahlo. The designs pay homage to Kahlo’s iconic style of dress and use of pattern, alongside Mackintosh’s elegant, architectural forms. Each range comprised six designs and was produced in a shorter run due to the complexity and time-intensive nature of the process.

A Place in the Sun - Exhibition
I initially explored this subject as the basis for a series of oil paintings, but I became increasingly drawn to the photographs themselves. These images became the focus of my first solo exhibition, A Place in the Sun, which examines the fragility of nature within distinctly manmade spaces. As an environmentalist, I aimed to highlight the pressures that human activity places on the natural world. The series comprises 28 images and was exhibited at Gallery Xposure in Rozelle, NSW.

PIMELIA - Sustainable Jewellery Range
The Birch range of eco-jewellery marked a shift in my practice, as it was the first Pimelia collection built from originally designed components rather than reclaimed materials. I set out to create a product that could be produced in small, repeatable runs while remaining as environmentally responsible as possible. Using sustainably harvested birch plywood laser cut with 100% green power, low-impact sugarcane-based paints, recycled brass findings and considered packaging, the range balanced scalability with sustainability. This change in approach allowed the work to grow beyond one-off pieces, expanding stockists across Australia and overseas and supporting a successful online store. There were 21 designs in the range.

PIMELIA - Upcycled Jewellery Range
This collection of upcycled jewellery was created from vintage and reclaimed pieces sourced during my travels. What began as a way to keep creating on the road evolved into a successful venture, stocked in boutiques across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Each piece was one of a kind, leading me to personally visit stockists to present the work and build lasting relationships. This collection marked the first product launched under the PIMELIA banner.

Hand-printed Greeting Cards
This collection of hand-printed greeting cards was produced using a handheld Riso machine, embracing the tactile qualities and subtle variations of the process. The series included a Christmas collection, featuring the Frilled Neck Lizard shown below, which was hand-signed with the phrase “Let It Snow.” The cards were released in very limited editions and sold out quickly. There were 22 designs across three collections and they were released prior to establishing PIMELIA under the business name The Sacred Cow.
